NFL Players in the Military

Less than a year after the attacks on 9/11, Pat Tillman chose to give up his successful career as a professional football player to enlist. He graduated Army Ranger School in 2003 and served tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. On April 22, 2004, he was killed in friendly fire.

Pat Tillman is the most well-known NFL player with military ties, but here are four others that have served post 9/11.
